ABOUT THIS CASE

Helping Business Owners Move Forward
Our firm succeeded in obtaining City approval for the amended Planned Unit Development for the Vue project, which now has a new modern look and improved relationship with the River and Park next door. The Vue project encompasses the old Shrimp Docks property adjacent to the City of Fort Myers Centennial Park.
Background
Mr. Strayhorn originally represented the Michael Abbot Corporation which had been known as the Downtown Fort Myers Shrimp Docks wherein the City of Fort Myers acquired the upland, riparian and submerged lands to the east, secured the necessary dredge and fill permits and created what is now Centennial Park. Understanding the intricate history of the property, past public concerns, past amendments to the project and Duany’s downtown plan, Ms. Persons was able to present an even better project before Planning Board, before the public at numerous special public meetings, and ultimately before the City Council to obtain their approval of the latest amended Planned Unit Development.
