2024 Woman of the Year Award winner, Jenna Persons-Mulicka with Mayor Holly D. Smith, Sanibel
In a world where kindness is the most powerful currency, the Women of Distinction Awards program seeks to spotlight extraordinary women in the Lee County and celebrates their positive impact.
Jenna Persons-Mulicka, of Strayhorn & Persons-Mulicka, was recently named 2024 Woman of the Year during the annual Women of Distinction awards gala held in July. She joins the ranks of more than 48 women who have been awarded as Women of Distinction in previous years. Each has worked tirelessly in their chosen professions and the local community, making Lee County a better place to live, work and play for all.
Founded in 2017 by the Republican Women of Cape Coral, this awards program honors and recognizes local women for excellence in their area of expertise. There is an annual nomination and selection process to identify six Women of Distinction in multiple categories. Any woman may be nominated as a candidate by her peers, family and friends. To be considered, they must be a registered Republican living in, or have significant influence in, Lee County, Florida.
Persons-Mulicka is a member of the Florida House of Representatives, R-Fort Myers, representing District 78. She has built her law practice around a dedication to her community and respect for the significant role of local and state government. Her respect for public service and passion for the Lee County area stems from generations of investment and leadership in Southwest Florida.
She has won many awards while serving on many state and local committees and boards, including most recently the Fort Myers Housing Authority Community Impact Award, the Autism Acceptance Awards “2022 Champion of the Year” Award, and Women of Distinction’s Elected-Government Leader Award.
She has also held roles with various service organizations, including:
