Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. recently named Strayhorn & Persons-Mulicka as its 2023 Breakthrough Business of the Year.
“Representing Goodwill is one of the highlights of my career,” said Jennifer, upon receiving the award. “I absolutely love getting to work with the organization because of what it stands for, because of the incredible good it does for the community, and because of the integrity of the organization.”
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by offering life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. The organization’s vision is to be recognized as a valued leader and resource for people with disabilities and other barriers to finding employment in the communities it serves.
Each attorney at Strayhorn & Persons-Mulicka collectively believes in supporting the local community and advocating for people with disabilities, which all fall in line with Goodwill’s mission and services. As a result, the firm brought in public officials for tours of Goodwill’s Opportunity Center. This provided a better understanding of what Goodwill does, forging new business relationships. The team has also sponsored annual fundraisers.
“We’ve gotten to see within the community the incredible impact that this organization makes,” explained Jennifer. “We know, on the front line of a disaster, Goodwill will be there supporting the community, uplifting the community, and making sure that the community has the resources it needs.”
With a rich, local history that dates back to the early 1900s, Strayhorn & Persons-Mulicka shares Goodwill’s sense of duty to its community. The firm’s partners remain involved in numerous civic and public projects that benefit the community each year.
